Alice

in Cinderland

when weather changed the world

ALICE in Cinderland is black satire about our surreal denials of climate change, from fires to power outages, from surveillance to mind control. Alice has set her table for a luxury dinner party. Before her guests arrive, lightning ignites wildfires in ghost forests, causing a power shutoff to millions of homes. We plummet down a rabbit hole to Cinderland where we’re bombarded with media assaults, from deep fakes to lobbyists. Horsemen of the Apocalypse zoom in on motorcycles. Alice in Wonderland meets The Matrix, full of zombies who won’t wake up. From the 1% to the 99%, we’re all in this together.

ALICE in Cinderland echoes Alice in Wonderland 150 years later, integrating magical realism and black satire on the edge of horror, raising questions about today’s surreal world.

“We are the first generation to feel the effect of climate change and the last generation who can do something about it.”

“Climate change is real. It is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating.”

We face potential for economic catastrophespiraling inflation, a range of humanitarian crises, a global energy crisis, a food crisis, and the prospect of World War III, all amidst an endemic pandemic that could give rise to new forms of psychosis. Will we forget that we have a climate crisis?

“The moment we decide to fulfill something, we
can do anything. We can’t save the world by playing
by the rules, because the rules have to be changed. Everything needs to change – and it has to start
today. Together and united, we are unstoppable.”

Greta Thunberg, Climate Activist
